The path to re-charge batteries

Thank you to the people who sent me best wishes for my birthday.
If I look at the balance between burdens and resources, I observe that the amount of burdens has increased due to the COVID-19 crisis. It’s important to practice self-care and to build resources for physical, mental, and social health. As a manager, I’m a role model, so to re-charge my batteries, I took a few days off.
I spent those days together with my family and close friends exploring beautiful spots and trails in Svabia. I compiled some of my pictures in a collage for you below.
I was lucky that the hotels in our federal state re-opened for tourists just one day before we started our tour from the Swabian Jura to the Lake of Constance.
The hotel owners – all three family-owned businesses – were more than happy to welcome guests again. They are still uncertain how things will develop and fear the second wave of infection. The “new normal” procedures are very manual and also include additional paperwork. Museums were not crowded at all, people prefer outdoor locations.
For the first time since December, I had the opportunity to visit my parents in Switzerland; it was strange to experience strict border control again.
I wish that everybody stays healthy, and finds time to discover the hidden gems in their surroundings.

Thank you from Svabia
